About Nancy

My Mission

My mission in therapy and creating art is to support you and inspire that creative light that heals mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically:
“joyfully and creatively teaching others to set their spirits free.”
That is something God wants for all of us – to live an abundant life and light the way for others with your unique gifts and purpose.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made and the body needs to be stewarded with the proper tools to heal. I delight in creating sacred space for my clients in health, new friendships and energy to carry us through the journey of life.

Inspiring through Art

A huge part of my art therapy journey has led me to reconnect with my artist self. Painting and photographing the natural world since 2005 has been a doorway to my own healing and led to a deepened awe for my Creator. I hope to inspire through my art the same mystery and wonder towards the invisible in my viewers.
“I like to think that, wherever I look, God is right there in the image I see through the lens. There’s something holy about this work, something transforming in this search for the light. Like the pilgrim’s journey, it’s heaven all the way.”  Jan Phillips

My Story

I think I was born with a crayon in my hand.

My Dad always thought I’d be an art teacher but while he was here,  I probably caused him a lot of silent worry, but isn’t that what kids do?

Now from heaven, I’m convinced he sees the reality. I’m a faith-based art therapist, artist, movement teacher/educator and inspiring speaker.

Always thought if I could make a living having coffee in Starbucks with someone, I’d be a rich woman.

But God has blessed me abundantly far beyond what I could ever ask or imagine.

A divorced single mom in 1987, I used creativity in my own healing, surrendering and trusting God’s plan for me and my future relationship. After many crazy side roads and dating debacles, God ultimately led me to my soulmate Rick and we married in 2013.

After years of doing it my way, I finally did it God’s way.  It is the difference. It’s a crazy story that only God could orchestrate.

I love to talk about that and daily grateful to God for Rick – a strong man of God who supports my creativity and has a tender heart for beauty.

Now I’m putting a stake in the ground for connecting into our God-given creativity to stand in your true value as a child of God.

At age 62, I graduated with a masters degree in psychotherapy and spirituality, specializing in art therapy.

With 25 years of experience in movement and art, I have facilitated art therapy with women in addictions recovery, sexual abuse and trauma, and cancer survivors. Teaching dance and Pilates in studio and group settings and seeing people revive and come to life is a privilege.  I’ve supported women in their relationship journeys through coaching and group events.

As artist, dancer, photographer and certified Pilates teacher,  I am committed and convinced of how God’s life-giving creativity through art and movement hold potential for healing and transformation.

I love, love, love creating a safe and gentle place for healing, learning and growth based in the Word of God, led by the Holy Spirit and connected to His creation.

PS Rick’s words of wisdom to women: treat a man like you would treat your dog and they will be happy.

PS. PS – Not Rick in the pic.

I’m mother of 2 amazing adult children who love me so much they feel the need to occasionally parent – and grandmother of 7. I’m in my happy place on a paddle board in BC.
